A schmattering

These are anne's pet hummingbirds. For those who don't know, she is quite the animal charmer and I think her genes skipped me and went right to my girls.

Sometimes Onslow scratches so the kids use their toes to say hello.

This is Kate blowing you all a kiss. We miss you so much!

This is Ella's good friend Gabe. They both love trains, grape juice, and Becky.

This is Ella and Cole at Build a Bear. Cheetah is now a permanent bedtime fixture.

And last but not least, our handsome brother Kirk. You can bet we'll be thinking of him and his Marines this 4th of July.

Justice A. Kennedy is an Arse

http://anncoulter.com/

Coulter's article pretty much sums up the idiocy of the latest supreme court ruling.

Americans need to get a grip and stop letting the wackos rule. i've started a new blog for everyday folks who want to make a difference. it's not a republican thing. it's a common sense thing. americanstand.blogspot.com. It should be up and running sometime in the next week or two.

A great weekend

Yesterday I had a doctor appointment, 2 hours a way in birmingham. The nurse and then the doctor couldn't find a heart beat, so i had another ultrasound. Thankfully, the little champ is still alive and healthy. It's always awesome to see the little baby moving around. Life is an amazing thing and being a mom rocks.

I then enjoyed a day to myself, shopping with mary and then later hanging out with Kathy. Good friends make a perfect day complete.

Kyle hung out with the kids while I was gone. He is the greatest dad and his girls LOVE him. The other night kate woke up in the middle of the night crying, "Daddy, Daddy". I couldn't console her, and finally i took her into our room to show her kyle was asleep. That was the trick and she layed down next to him and closed her eyes. Kate brings so much love to our family for being so little.

As for Ella and Kyle, they are peas in a pod. They golf and bike together and have an all around great time. Every day before work Ella yells after kyle, "Remember I need my hug and a kiss!"
I hope she grows up to be just like him.

Summer pictures coming soon.. New computer coming next week.

Precor Elliptical Coming My Way

I love to exercise outdoors, but sometimes the forces of the universe combine against me: the southern heat, nausea, a golfing husband, two kids who are allergic to the stroller . . .

NO MORE am i at the mercy of the universe.

Thanks to my lovely kyle i will soon be the proud owner of a precor elliptical. I have been wanting one for about 4 years and finally the day has arrived. If you have to burn your calories indoors its great fun and a good workout. Hopefully it gets here in one piece.

amendment to yesterdays post

Due to the seriousness of my viewers an amendment to yesterday's post is required:
  • I love my children, the song was for fun and the next kid may not be the last.
  • My job is good, my life is not a drudgery as some may think, heck I get to play golf almost everyday.
  • No amendment on my comment about brittney, she is still the best.

Kyle's Back

It has been 2.5 months since my last post, I am coming out for a guest appearance on my high jacked blog. At least someone is keeping the world posted of our happenings in the depths of the south.

Here are some recent highlights:
  • I am an official doctor now.
  • I graduated and passed the national board exam with flying colors.
  • I almost melted on the golf course 3 times this past week.
  • One of my lovely patients told me I looked "9 years old", I promptly sent her for cataract surgery. (no joke)
  • I have come to terms with being a father of 3 and wrote a lovely song about it to the tune of little mermaid.
Look at these kids
Arent they sweet
One more little boy (or girl) and our collection's complete
And NO MORE KIDS!!!! NO MORE KIDS!!! NO MORE KIDS!!!
  • After only 2 weeks of work I am ready to cut back from 4.5 days to 4 days/ week "you can't find a job in this town unless you work 40 hours a week" --lloyd, dumb and dumber
  • My wife is the best, for fathers day she got me lawn service.

May: the short list

1. Kyle graduated from UAB! Yahoo! (Thanks to his parents for coming out, family and friends for their support, and Dan and Mary for everything)

2. Our baby is due Christmas day. Yeah! Nausea in this heat is unbearable.

3. Our dear friend Karen Deschamps passed away and we flew to Utah for her funeral. Prayers to Mindy and her family.

4. Katie-kate has upped her fearlessness. She routinely tries to fly. Also, last week she handed me a toy and told me to "hold this"

5. Iron man is awesome and everyone should see it.
6. Kyle had his first day of paid labor today. He is already planning his retirement.

7. I officially retired yesterday from my role as breadwinner. Today i went through about 36,000 emails getting ready to send my computer back. In the mix i found this ditty from our weekly rides at TNI. Hopefully k and i will get back to those trails soon.

Here's to retirement, getting me a bike, and spending a lot more time outdoors with the fam.
