Snow in April

Ella was asking for snow and she got it! We are having a great time at the Liechty hotel and of course the girls are loving their time with all the grandparents and cousins. We're missing Kyle and wishing he were here with us, but he's at hotel mary's taking his national board exams. Thanks, Dan and Mary!

This is the first time I haven't dragged my laptop along for a vacation. I hardly knew what to do with myself for the first week besides sleep and play with my girls. But starting yesterday i discovered reading again. I just finished Ghost Soldiers, a non-fiction piece about WWII. It's a humbling read and I highly recommend it.

Tomorrow Anne and Dug are making the 9 hour drive to 49 palms to welcome my bro home from Iraq. Go, Kirk!

Lizard

Sunday just seems to be the day creatures show up on our back porch. Ella and I chased two lizards around the back patio until we finally caught the little one. Ella put it in her butterfly cage and carried it around the house. She woke Brittney up from her nap when she tried to let "lizzie" get in bed with her. Then we released him back into the wild, just like the turtle and fish last week. Catch and release is our motto.

Brittney and the girls are off to Utah on Tuesday and I'll be taking national board exams on the 8th and 19th, wish us luck.
