i know, you're probably all sick of hearing how hot kyle is.

but too bad. here are some pix of his birthday gift. he wanted a golf cart but instead we got him these four wheels. a gamble that paid off like a kid in a candy store.

We're excited for the grandparents to visit this weekend! Visitors are awesome becuase it's like the vacation comes to you.

my bro. is a marine serving in iraq. he and thousands of other brave ones fight our wars and do our dirty work so we can live the lives we lead.

kyle is my go-to man

kyle's birthday is coming up and i wanted to post a few reasons why i'm glad he's my man.

-he can fix almost anything

-he should have been an inventor, not an eye doctor . . . . maybe in retirement

-he is the most hands-on dad around. his kids ADORE him.

-he is always up for an adventure (even with 3 kids)

-he's got a sixth sense for geography and directions

-he is funny on the sly and keeps us laughing

-he has compassion for his patients and those in need

-he is loyal and supports our fam no matter what

-he doesn't boss me around

-he's always up for a movie from redbox

-he loves mexican food as much as me

-he gets a little crazy with his sports, and i'll admit i kinda like it

kids are hard. they require a lot of sacrifice and they pretty much hijack your life. kyle could be living a totally different life right now, but instead he chooses to go to work, come home to his crazy family, and put in the time that it takes to keep things running.

i love you, kyle! you make such a difference in our lives. we hope you have the best month ever!

Happy Mother's Day

The year of fun is turning out to be so fun!

Friday: 27-hole tournament with brisket lunch :)

Friday night: Drove to Georgia to visit friends

Saturday: Tagged along with Gina for the early a.m. garage sales. Watched Page family buy fancy car. Hit the PGA Superstore. Had a nice break as the kids played together with Grandma George in the woods.

Sunday: Church. Walk. House looking. Kids Museum. Dropped Kyle off in Tuscaloosa for more golf on Monday. Drove home. Kids all piled in mom's bed for thunderstorms. Overall a perfect day.

It was awesome to enjoy a weekend away with Kyle, the kids, and such great friends. Page family, I wish we were neighbors! (sigh.) Thanks for the great time!

other than that, it's been a great week. we even made a surprise trip to birmingham. Thanks, Olsens and Wards! It was tons of fun.

kate's antic of the week: While buckled in the back of the car, she took her lid off and threw it on the ground. Then dumped all the ice on the floor. Then shredded her styrofoam cup into a million pieces. Unbelievable. Or as Kyle says, "Totally believable." needless to say she is glad her carseat is three rows back.

dash update: eating rice cereal. loving it. rolling over. smiling. giggling. giving his mommy the best cuddles in the world. and don't forget playing superman with ella (with supervision, of course).

I told Kyle in the next life I was going to be hot like megan fox.
